I’m sure you all heard that today, Sergeant Shriver passed away at the age of 95. He was the first director of the Peace Corps, and I have been very moved reading about his life of service today. It is nice to hear about the beginnings of the Peace Corps and remind me of why I decided to serve. I especially liked this quote, posted by another volunteer.
“The Peace Corps represents some, if not all, of the best virtues in this society. It stands for everything that America has ever stood for. It stands for everything we believe in and hope to achieve in the world.” – Sargeant Shriver
What virtues do you think he was talking about?

A First Class Man for sure.
Hey! I’m thinking you should announce that you are not going to post for awhile more often. This has been quite the flurry of posts! Lovin’ it!
