Thanks

I really want to send a special thank you to the people who filled out my recommendation forms. I know you are all incredibly busy, and Tim and I really appreciate your support throughout this process. PM or email me your addresses, and a thank you in the form of baked goods might be in order.

Josh Breivogel: A close friend, and the most loyal person I have ever known. He is such a great friend, and we are so glad to have him and his fiance Jessica in our lives. Even though we are excited for our service, we really want to stay long enough to celebrate your love with you in January of 2010.

Heather Elam: My Residential Coordinator and work supervisor throughout my time as an RA. Ever since I walked into RA training as a sophomore, you have been a supportive supervisor and friend in my life. Thank you so much for showing me how to be a leader and a community builder. I know you are crazy busy, so the fact that you took time out to fill out this form is really special to me.

Pastor Horstmeyer: My pastor, my friend and role model, my volunteer supervisor. I’m not sure words can express what a stable, driving force you have been in my life. You have led me on the greatest journey of all, developing a personal relationship with God and learning to serve Him. I am so happy that you were there through my teenage years, as I continued to grow as a person, and as Tim and I began our lives together. You are, yet again, an integral part of this journey, and I hope you can be a part of many more in the future. Thank you.

To everyone else who has expressed your support and concerns (I know that’s how some of you love) as we begin: Thank you so much. Your words have been uplifting and wonderful. I know that when I am dragging water in buckets to take a shower, when I’m lonely, when I miss hot delivered pizza, or when I just plain had a bad day, I will look back at these words of encouragement and know that you are all rooting for us. I like to make difficult things into a game, so maybe you will all be in the stands I imagine as I drag those buckets. Again, thank you.
