Tim’s Interview

Tim finished his interview today. He asked a lot of the same questions about leadership and stress that he asked me, but Tim was much more relaxed. He felt it went well, and our recruiter said the next step would be to hear back about a nomination. I have to send him an addendum about my experience tutoring at the writing center, and Tim has to write his resume in a way that a non-technical person will understand it. Hopefully we can do that in the next few days.

The interviewer did ask how adaptable I was. It made me think of all the times we travel places and people say, “It’s just like you live here!” I think we’re pretty laid back, adjustable people. So much so that I felt like cutting my hair last night, but I didn’t want to wait or make an appointment or anything. So Tim and I cut about six inches off. It actually turned out pretty well, as you can see in the picture. I’d say we’re pretty go with the flow. Lol.

Here’s to hoping the next post is up quickly, and it’s all about our nomination!

  1. Breyanna & Tim: The Duke family could possibly handle a box or two for storage. Unfortunately we can’t help with the pets right now. Sounds like things are moving along. I have been including you both in our prayers during this process.
    Love you both!!

  2. Yeah, I remember all those crazy questions I was asked during my interview. I think one of the most interesting was about how I’d feel about serving in a country where women’s status is considerably lower. And I thought I did terrible in my interview too, but my recruiter gave me the nomination right at the end of it, so apparently I did okay. 🙂

Sounds like you guys are off to a great start! Hopefully you’ll be hearing back from them soon!

  3. Hey there,
I found your blog via peacecorpsjournals.com and appreciate the info and details you’ve written about regarding the app process, since I’ll also be serving as a couple. If you have time and don’t mind answering a question or two, shoot me an email! 🙂 Best of luck in getting a nomination soon…
