Still no nomination, but we’re hopeful and patient

I wrote an email to our recruiter the other day. I basically asked him if it would be possible to receive a nomination by the end of summer. He says that several couples submitted around the same time as us have been offered nominations, but some are still under review. We are being reviewed. This does mean that we might not get a nomination. What it means is that they have not yet seen the nomination that is right for us. He said he will check back next week and let us know what our status is. In some cases, I think you have to be your own advocate and make sure you are getting the attention you deserve. In other cases, I think it is important to be patient. Although this process is taking longer than we anticipated, I think Tim and I have struck the right balance, and we’re being very patient. We’re still open to accept whatever happens.
