In the event of an emergency

This is incredibly uninteresting, but it’s on my pre-departure checklist. It’s one of the only things I can do right now (we’re going to the dentist on Wednesday, doctor on Friday). I really hope that this is not necessary, but this is how you can get ahold of us quickly if something goes wrong. You can call the number below, tell them the situation, and they will decide whether it warrants Tim or I (or both, but probably not) coming home.

Contact Peace Corps’ Office of Special Services at any time if there is a critical illness or death of a family member (telephone number: 800.424.8580, extension 1470; after-hours duty officer: 202.638.2574).

I tagged it emergency in case you need to find this post later. Wish us luck the rest of this week! I know they’ll probably tell me my wisdom teeth will have to come out, but hopefully everything goes well. We both have to fast before our doctor’s appointment, so I’ll be hiding the cheese, peanut butter, and chocolate from Tim on Thursday night. Okay, so maybe wish me luck with that … lol …

Oh, we’ll be leaving for Evansville after our appointments on Friday. Email us or leave a comment if you want to hang out.
