We’re going to ….

A landlocked country in Eastern Europe between Romania and the Ukraine. It’s about the size of Maryland, and it has about four  million people. We will learn to speak Moldovan, which is similar to Romanian, and we’ll both be teaching English. We’re leaving for staging in Philadelphia on June 8. After a few days, we’ll be on our way to Moldova. Then we’ll have language training for three months, and then we’ll be at our site for two years.

We’re coming home from Thailand June 1, so we will have about a week to see everyone in the states before we take off again. We’re going to try to have a going away party on Sunday, June 6, at my aunt’s house in Columbus, Indiana. We’ll be sending out an evite soon, so we really hope lots of people can make it.

If you want to see what our reaction was opening the invitation, it was something like this.

  1. Wow! Congratulations! You leave the day before Blake’s 3rd Birthday and won’t be back till he’s 5! So weird to think! I know you’re excited and anxious and it’s so soon–let us know if we can help.
